
We actively collaborate with students at UCLA from different backgrounds who actively explore critical issues that have a far-reaching impact on society. These projects give students the opportunity to explore new ideas, ask challenging questions, and contribute fresh perspectives to ongoing debates. With support from faculty and peers, each project provides valuable insights into today’s most complex subjects, encouraging a spirit of collaboration and innovation.

Isabella Yuan is a 4th-year Human Biology and Society major and Philosophy minor interested in the intersection between AI and public policy. Isabella is currently working on a research project on Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), intellectual property law, and personhood.

Chaya Manjeshwar is a 3rd-year Human Biology and Society & Cognitive Science major interested in the intersection between AI and healthcare. Chaya is currently working on a research project on applications of AI in health-tech and medicine.
